Bundesliga legend predicts Thomas Muller will be next Jurgen Klopp

Thomas Muller could be the next Jurgen Klopp. That’s according to a former Bayern Munich star.

Could Thomas Muller be the next Jurgen Klopp? It’s very possible, according to Mario Gomez.

The former Stuttgart, Bayern Munich and Besiktas striker feels the two are quite similar, seeing their approach with people as a strength. He believes his former teammate will follow in the footsteps of the Liverpool boss.

Thomas Muller the next Klopp?

“I am a big fan of Jürgen Klopp,” Gomez told AbendZeitung. “Whether I saw him as an expert on TV or as an opposing coach on the sidelines: Jürgen Klopp is simply an incredible collector of people whom you always love to listen to.

“I once compared it to Thomas Müller. This is why I also believe that Thomas will be Klopp’s successor, whatever he does after his active career. But Thomas will reprise the role of Klopp.

Klopp is of course a highly regarded figure in German football. As Gomez points out, his role as an expert on television has won many fans.

The 2006 World Cup in Germany saw Klopp play the role of TV expert. He explained the tactics in such a pleasant way that he quickly became a star and the Mainz boss increased his position in the country.

Two years later, Borussia Dortmund took a punt on him despite relegation to Mainz.

It was Klopp’s ability to capture people’s attention that really impressed people and it’s something that he has continued throughout his managerial career. In fact, only this week ex-Liverpool player Ragnar Klavan was lyrical about the German’s men’s management.

Can Muller be the next Klopp? Honestly, we have no idea. What is clear, however, is that following in Klopp’s footsteps is an incredibly difficult task.

Not only is he one of the most successful managers in the world, but he has done it in such a way that he is also one of the most charismatic. If Muller reaches even half of that, he’s done well.
