Borussia Mönchengladbach will be without Nico Elvedi for their Bundesliga game against Bochum on Friday.

Meanwhile, assistant coach Christian Peintinger will continue to replace head coach Adi Hütter, who remains unavailable due to COVID-19.

“Nico Elvedi has returned a positive PCR test and will therefore not be available for Friday,” revealed Peintinger, who then played down fears that experienced centre-back Tony Jantschke could also be absent.

“Tony Jantschke only stopped training early yesterday as a precaution. There is no risk that he will be ruled out against Bochum.”
