Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni believes the Nerazzurri have progressed well as a team despite the grueling conditions of having to play during a busy schedule.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, the 22-year-old pointed out that the Nerazzurri have practically always had more than one game a week to prepare and have always remained resilient.

Inter made their last game before the international break when they drew 1-1 with AC Milan in the derby last night, and that ended a flurry of Serie A and Champions League games that saw the team thinking about the next game almost like when the last one ended.

Many of the squad will also be involved with their national teams during the international break and won’t have much respite, but the club’s schedule has proven to be particularly demanding.

With just a few days to rest and prepare between some matches, the team had to make the most of their limited time, but they did so by starting strong in the campaign according to Bastoni.

“There is a lot of balance compared to other years,” he said of the Serie A season, “there are a lot of matches, we’ve been playing every three days for two years now; he It’s not easy to prepare for it and to give 100% all the time, but we are happy with our progress.
