UEFA Champions League: bad news for Juventus, Morata and Dybala excluded from shock against Chelsea

UEFA Champions League: Bad news for Juventus, Morata, Dybala excluded from shock against Chelsea: Paulo Dybala and Alvaro Morata will miss Juventus’ next two games,
against Chelsea and Turin, after injuring themselves in a Serie A victory over Sampdoria, coach Massimiliano Allegri said on Sunday.

Dybala scored Juve’s first goal in a 3-2 win at Turin but left the pitch in tears with a muscle problem 10 minutes later, while Morata came out in the second half.

It’s a big blow for Allegri ahead of a big week in which European champions Chelsea travel to the Champions League on Wednesday, ahead of Saturday’s Turin derby.

“They certainly won’t be available against Chelsea or Turin,” Allegri told Sky Italia.

“Then there is the international break. We hope to get them back after that, but that’s part of the game.

“Now it happens to us, later it could happen to someone else. We will have to be good to make up for the absences.

Allegri, who was leading his 400th game as a Serie A coach, oversaw a second straight win for his side after failing to win any of their first four league games.

However, they conceded twice in their 20th straight league game without a clean sheet, a streak dating back to March 2.

“Today we played well in the defensive phase but we made a mistake for the corner kick on their first goal and for their second we lost the ball playing from behind and got caught. It can happen, ”said Allegri.
