Kyogo Furuhashi has had a tremendous start to life at Celtic and could already be the club’s most important player. We have seen Ange Postecoglou’s team struggle tremendously during his absence over the past few weeks as he was injured while on international duty.

He is now back on the pitch and has already made a difference since returning to the mix of things. While Celtic failed to score against Bayer Leverkusen they created several great chances to do so and many of them were thanks to Kyogo’s incredible move. Then he opened the scoring in the club’s 2-1 win over Aberdeen before the international break, in his first away league win after several months.

As a result, it goes without saying that Celtic are hopeful Kyogo will be fit and fit to move forward. There is no doubt that he is very important for the success of the club this season.

But with its success, exit rumors also began to swirl. The Japanese star has previously been linked with a move to the Premier League.

In an interview with Takashi Mizunuma he was asked if he would like to follow in Odsonne Edouard’s footsteps and someday spend in the Premier League and as reported by the Daily check-in, Kyogo said:

“A lot of players are moving from Scotland to the EPL.

“It’s motivating to see Takehiro Tomiyasu do well. Good results could pave this way for me, but I have to get results to survive at Celtic and the Japanese national team.

“I want to do my best and contribute to (two) teams.”

There is no doubt that if Kyogo continues to play the way he has, European clubs will be interested in the future.

No one knows what the future holds for him, but for now it is clear that he is focused on doing his best for Celtic, which he has shown every time he’s on the pitch. This is the maximum that can be asked of a player.

Having been signed this summer, one has to feel that Celtic won’t be in a rush to let Kyogo go anytime in the near future.
