Lines and tips for the day 08
Day 08 brings us a high level clash between Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich. Sunday these two meet at BayArena, and I hope it will be as dramatic as the December meeting of last season. Seconds to the end, an error at the back was attacked by Robert Lewandowski win the game for Bayern. If you are not sure which markets to choose for this game, you can read on to see my picks and check out our Guide to betting on the Bundesliga.
Let’s take a look at Betting lines and tips for Bundesliga Matchday 8 2021-22.
BUNDESLIGA MATCHDAY 07 ROUNDUP
KEVIN TRAPP ARRESTS BAYERN
If you look at Bayern’s stats in their game against Eintracht Frankfurt, you would think it was an easy 3 point home for them. 73% possession, 20 shots on goal including ten on target and an xG of 2.18 against 0.39 for Frankfurt depicts a one-sided game.
Goalkeeper Kevin Trapp was in inspired form, making nine saves to keep Bayern on the sidelines and earn in Frankfurt their very first victory at the Allianz Arena. The 31-year-old has been excluded from Germanythe last team from Hansi Film, and it was the perfect performance to challenge that decision.
AMERICAN JOE SCALLY GETS FIRST BUNDESLIGA GOAL
18 years old Joe scally has always been present in Borussia Monchelgladbachbackline to start the seven of their Bundesliga Games. He scored his first goal for the club in the 3-1 win of Matchday 07 VfL Wolfsburg.
Many were surprised when Gregg Berhalter did not call him for the USMNTis october World Cup Qualifiers, and this decision looks worse after losing to Panama 1-0 Sunday. The next international break is in mid-November, and I have a feeling Scally will be involved to some extent.
TAIWO AWONIYI ENLIGHTENING THE BUNDESLIGA
Taiwo Awoniyi scored a brace against Mainz 05 to reverse the game for FC Union Berlin. They signed the Nigerian striker from Liverpool in a $ 9 million contract this summer after spending last season on loan at the club. If he can continue his good start, this fee will be an absolute godsend.
He has already tied last season’s five-goal tally and is developing a good understanding with his attacking partner Max Kruse who helped him for three of the goals. I have no doubts that we will see him play at a bigger club in the near future.
BUNDESLIGA BET: MATCH DAY 08 LINES
BUNDESLIGA BETTING TIPS
- Borussia Mönchengladbach are undefeated at home in three games this season, including a draw with Bayern and a win over Borussia Dortmund. Their adversary VfB Stuttgart have not yet won away, losing one and drawing two. Gladbach’s matches average 2.71 goals per game and Stuttgart’s average 3.57 goals. My recommendation for this game is Parlaying Gladbach to win and over 2.5 goals at +110.
- I like that Eintracht Frankfurt collects the 3 points on Saturday. Their adversary Hertha Berlin have the worst defensive record in the Bundesliga, conceding 20 goals, and they have lost three out of four road games this season. The safe bet is to support Frankfurt on the Moneyline at -145. For better value for money you can win Parlay Frankfurt and over 1.5 goals at +100.
- Under 2.5 goals at -130 is the obvious game for FC Augsburgis the match against Arminia Bielefeld. Both teams have battled to score goals this season, scoring just three each.
- I think there is a good chance Mainz 05 could get something out of their trip to Signal Iduna Park with Erling Haaland still a doubt for this game. Bo Svensson has made Mainz hard to beat, and it’s the type of game we’ve seen Borussia Dortmund slip into in the past. Support them to win or raffle in the Double Chance Market at +210.
