Ludogorets welcomes Malmö to the Huvepharma Arena for the second leg of their UEFA Champions League play-off on Tuesday.

The visitors have the cards in hand right now, having claimed a 2-0 victory in the first leg last week. Veljko Birmancevic and Jo Inge Berget scored in both halves to give the victory to the Swedish champions.

They followed with a routine 3-0 victory over Degerfors in the Allvenskan on Saturday. Birmancevic, Malik Abubakari and Anders Christensen are all on Malmö’s scoresheet.

Ludogorets was even more adamant in their 5-0 home win over Lokomotiv Sofia on the same day. Five different men have entered the Bulgarian champions’ scoresheet.

The winner of this meeting will obtain an automatic qualification for the group stage of the UEFA Champions League and both teams will do their utmost to ensure their progress.

Prediction Ludogorets vs Malmö

Ludogorets need to score at least two goals to have any hope of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League and this scoring pursuit could see them playing higher up the pitch.

This will leave room for Malmö, who has enough attacking qualities to exploit this space. We foresee a narrow victory for Jon Dahl Tomasson’s side with goals to score from both sides.

Prediction: Ludogorets 1-2 Malmö
