Major Brendan Rodgers update at Manchester United
Manchester United may have enjoyed a terrific summer transfer window, with Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane, but they are already linked with future signings. And it’s not hard to see why given the Red Devils’ start to the campaign despite those big signings, currently sixth in the Premier League table.
Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho is a summer rookie who has struggled to make his mark at Old Trafford so far. He has yet to score or assist for Manchester United.
But it seems that hasn’t stopped the Red Devils from looking to sign with other Bundesliga stars.
As reported by Sport BILD (via Sport Witness), Manchester United are one of the clubs interested in RB Leipzig star Dominik Szoboszlai but will have to pay a transfer fee of between € 60m and € 70m to sign him .
Manchester United take an interest in RB Leipzig’s Szoboszlai
Szoboszlai has impressed enormously since joining RB Leipzig from RB Salzburg. According to Transfermarkt statistics, he has scored 6 goals and provided 3 assists in 15 appearances for the Bundesliga club.
An attacking midfielder capable of playing from the center or the left, or even the right if the situation demands it, Szoboszlai is quickly becoming one of the most exciting stars to watch in the Bundesliga.
But considering how much talent Manchester United already have going forward, would a big step for Szoboszlai be the right move for the Red Devils.
There is no doubt that he is an incredible talent and at only 21 years old you would not expect him to improve in the future. But the big question for Manchester United would be where would he fit into things at this point?
