October 14, 2021 – The decisive qualification for the Croatia-Russia World Cup in Poljud on Sunday November 14 will be played at 3 p.m. Tickets are expected to be announced by HNS soon.

In exactly one month, the Croatian national football team will play in Split, at the Poljud stadium, against Russia. Not only is this their last qualification for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, but the winner of the match will secure a direct spot for the next World Cup and avoid some rather difficult additional qualifying.

Russia and Croatia are in a running race for first place in Group H, the only place that leads directly to Qatar. After drawing Slovakia in Osijek, Croatia will need a win over Russia to qualify directly for the World Cup. Anything else takes Zlatko Dalić’s side to a tricky knockout round and Russia straight to Qatar. This is, of course, assuming Croatia defeats Malta three days before the Great Battle of Split on November 11.

Fans can be happy that Croatia plays Russia on Sunday, November 14, which means many don’t have to take a day off. A full Poljud stadium is to be expected.

UEFA has confirmed the date on its official website, as well as the time. So Croatia and Russia will meet at 3 p.m. which is not as frequent as the 9 p.m. clashes that we are used to watching. However, it must be taken into account that four groups will play the last qualifying matches on this day.

Namely, Croatia, as well as its opponents in Group H, will start at 3 p.m., Group J will be played from 6 p.m., and Groups B and A from 8:45 p.m.

Tickets for the Croatia-Russia match are not on sale yet, although the Croatian Football Federation is expected to announce prices and the start date of ticket sales soon. It will be a game football fans won’t want to miss.
