Bundesliga talent hails Tom Rogic’s superb Celtic career

Bundesliga talent Ajdin Hrustic has hailed Tom Rogic after his Celtic career came to an end.

Hrustic played alongside the former Hoops hero in the Australian national team. Both look set to feature for Australia in their massive World Cup playoff clash against the United Arab Emirates next month.

Rogic has decided to end his time at Celtic after more than 9 years at Glasgow and an incredible 17 trophies won. His status at Parkhead will forever remain iconic, having won over Hoops support over the years with his talent.

And Hrustic, who are Eintracht Frankfurt’s side against Rangers in the Europa League final tomorrow, took the time to congratulate Rogic on his success at Parkhead.

As quoted by the Glasgow Times, he said: “I am in contact with Tommy. I will see him after the Europa League final when we meet in Qatar with the national team.

“I heard he was leaving Celtic and I wish him all the best. He is a great person and a great player. I think he deserved a new challenge in his career. He has been at Celtic for about ten years, so he gave everything for the club and I’m happy for him.

Tom Rogic’s Celtic career will be remembered forever

There were plenty of signings during Neil Lennon’s first spell at the club that have now been forgotten. More than a few in fact. Signing Tom Rogic certainly wasn’t one of them.

Indeed, he is a player whose reputation and achievements at Parkhead will be remembered across generations. He flourished as a key figure in a time of unprecedented Celtic domestic dominance. It’s not until next season that we’ll fully appreciate what a great player he was for this football club now that he’s gone.

Of course, it wasn’t the wrong decision. Tom clearly wanted to leave Celtic Park in style and a winner. This is still an absolutely essential step in securing your inheritance. Huge credit to him for making that decision and sticking with it.

It’s clear that Rogic is well regarded in the Australian national team as well. Hrustic, a regular in Australia these days, speaks it well and shows a touch of class here.

Rogic has already said he probably won’t return to the A-League. Therefore, it will be extremely interesting to see where he decides to go next. Does a transfer to one of the best European leagues await him? It would be fascinating to see Tom’s style of play in one of the famous top 5 divisions.

But for now, it’s a total mystery as to his next destination. All we know is that his Celtic career will always be remembered.
